La cuisson Anagama m’a ouvert au monde de la culture ancestrale de la céramique asiatique. La tradition du bol, encore très actuelle, au Japon, en Chine et en Corée m’a inspiré la transposition de mon travail sculptural sur des pièces utilitaires uniques qui racontent toutes, à leur manière, une histoire différente.
Concernant mes collections utilitaires, j’apporte une attention toute particulière aux émaux (celadon, shino, tenmoku…) que je créé moi-même et que je perfectionne depuis plusieurs années. Ceux-ci doivent servir à magnifier la forme en réaction à une cuisson au bois intense.

Anagama firing has opened my mind, allowing me to discover the world of the ancestral culture of Asian ceramics. The bowl tradition, still very much alive in Japan, China and Korea, prompted me to transpose my sculptural work on unique utility ware pieces, each of them telling a different story, in its own way.
As for my collection of utility ware items and vases, I pay particular attention to the glazes (celadon, shino, tenmoku…) that I create myself, and which I have been perfecting for several years. They serve to magnify the different shapes by way of intense wood firing.
